Butte will honor an historical woman during the Christmas Stroll Saturday for being the first to bring gardens to Butte more than 80 years ago. Alma Higgins moved to Butte from Deer Lodge in 1920 and she's credited for making the city a greener place by planting trees and gardens (More)

A Butte man had a collection of about 75,000 sports cards stolen from his shed outside his home in the 3600 block of Warren Avenue.
Butte Police reported the man's shed was broken into and his collection of cards valued at $15,000 was missing.
They were mostly baseball and football cards.
Butte Undersheriff George Skuletich said the victim noticed the cards missing on Monday and police have no suspects.
