Reconstruction progress has been slower than anticipated for a building that suffered significant damage from a fire.

Woman who died after falling into Butte trash bin identified

BUTTE - The Butte-Silver Bow coroner has released the name of the woman that died by suffocating in a trash bin.

Laura Thormahlen, 48, of Butte was found dead in a tall, green trash bin behind BSW Thrift Store.

Thormahlen had a habit of searching trash bins.

Vehicle crashes into Butte store

BUTTE - The folks at Bob Wards in Butte have been busy boarding up their front entrance after a vehicle crashed into the building on Saturday evening.

The SUV damaged the double glass doors, but the crash did not do any structural damage to the building.

Nobody was injured.

Authorities say there was no alcohol or drugs involved in the incident.
