Thanksgiving might be the holiday on everyone's mind today, but the Salvation Army is already making plans for Christmas.
Their annual Kettle Campaign kicked off earlier this week and will run through Christmas Eve.
Cash, checks, and change are all welcome, and proceeds will go directly to those struggling in the Electric City.
Major Joseph Huttenlocker of the Salvation Army explained, "Christmas Kettles have been a tradition for 100 years. We're hoping that the community of Great Falls will come together and help make a joyous Christmas for families and individuals who are in need here in the community."
Huttenlocker says that area residents can apply for assistance at the Salvation Army's Family Service Office at 527 9th Avenue South until December 24th.
The Kettles are located at 12 grocery and discount stores throughout the community.
