1 dead, 1 critical after Dixon home invasion

DIXON - One person is dead, another is hospitalized in critical condition and a man is behind bars after a Thursday evening home invasion near Dixon.

Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel says Sanders County and Lake County deputies, along with tribal police, responded to home in the Dixon area just before 8 p.m.

The sheriff says in a news release that Nathan Lee William Calvert is being held at the Sanders County jail as investigators piece together just what happened.

Rummel says one person died in the incident while another person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Calvert, who was born in California, was convicted of Partner/Family Member Assault in Missoula court back in December of 2010, according to the Montana Department of Corrections website.

Calvert is listed as on the Montana Department of Justice Sexual or Violent Offender Registry as a violent offender with a Missoula address in the South Hills. It's also noted that he's been known to use several aliases.
