Emergency crews are on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash just south of Sunburst on Interstate 15 that has claimed one life.
Troopers on scene tell us high winds created a brown out, triggering the crash that involved nine vehicles.
Trooper Mike Jenson with the Montana Highway Patrol tells us most of the vehicles slowed down due to the conditions in the area, but one passenger car came to a stop.
Jenson says the woman driving the car was rear-ended by a semi-truck and died on scene; her identity has not yet been released.
Trooper Jenson tells us three semis and six passenger cars were involved, including a student driver bus.
All six students were taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not reported to be life-threatening.
The Montana Department of Transportation says a road closure should be expected in the area until the scene is cleared.
