ST. IGNATIUS - Bail remains at $500,000 for a ten year-old Saint Ignatius boy pending a mental evaluation.
Lake County District Judge Kim Christopher stated in a hearing Wednesday afternoon the bail will stay that high until the boy undergoes a neuropsychological evaluation scheduled for Thursday.
Christopher says the boy has missed previous scheduled evaluations and a recent alleged incident with a St. Ignatius school administrator lead to the high bail.
The boy was originally in trouble when he was nine for felony theft and burglary. One of the conditions of his sentence was not to get into trouble, but he was recently cited for the alleged incident with the school official.
He is now being held in a youth correctional facility in Galen.
