BOZEMAN - Eleven new businesses are coming to Bozeman, bringing with them hundreds of new jobs.
Right now, eight new businesses are in the process of being built, including the Olive Garden in front of REI, a Starbucks in front of the Home Depot, a Town Pump at the corner of Baxter and 19th, a Comfort Inn & Suites on Valley Center Road next to Costco, a My Place Hotel also on Valley Center Road and a Qdoba restaurant and City Brew on Main and College near the Kohls.
A TJ Maxx and Chico clothing store are going into the Bridger Peaks Shopping Mall. A Cost Cutter going in near Safeway.
Daryl Schlem with the Chamber of Commerce estimates the new businesses will bring in about 750 new jobs and boost the economy in other ways, including keeping construction workers busy.
He credits local partnerships, including the Economic Development Council for attracting the new businesses.
"It's getting to where companies want to come here and are finding the process much easier," said Schlem.
The TJ Maxx opens this Sunday.
