22 students tested for whooping cough in Butte

BUTTE-Butte Silver Bow Health Department officials are waiting on the test results of 22 high school individuals regarding Pertussis exposure.
So far there is only 1 confirmed case of the illness in a Butte High student.
It's estimated that 22 people have come into contact with the student.
Those classmates have been tested and are currently on antibiotics as a precaution.
The health department is researching more possible contacts today.
