A 60-year-old man from Lima died in an accident early Saturday morning.
According to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Joseph Wyant, the vehicle was discovered by a passerby at around 8:30 a.m.
When troopers arrived, they discovered the man, identified as Ed Rose, had been dead for a couple of hours. The exact time of death is not known at present.
It appears Rose was driving a 1994 Ford pickup when he drifted off a gravel road and rolled down an embankment. Upon impact, the vehicle continued to roll until it landed in a ditch.
The accident reportedly happened on the White Pine Ridge Road , 13 miles south of Lima in Beaverhead County.
Troopers say they know the vehicle drifted off the road because there were no skid marks visible at the scene.
Speed was not a factor in the accident but officials are conducting further investigations to determine what caused it and whether alcohol was involved.
Rose, who died due to injuries he sustained in the accident, was not wearing a seat-belt.
