Past and present members of Troop 676 are happy to be part of the 40- year celebration.
"Its great to see some of the original scouts here because they've started this troop and they want to see new scouts come in and carry on the tradition of troop 676," said Quinn Powell, a member of Troop 676.
Previous troop members attended from all over the country--including Oregon, Arizona and even Tennessee.
One of them is R.G. Montgomery - whose sons were part of the first troop in 1973. For Montgomery, some things haven't changed a bit.
"This could be 40 years ago, they're the same type of kids," said Montgomery. "They're the same type of boys. They have that same type of ideal that's been stressed in the boy scout handbooks. But it's been special because after 40 years, we're up in the eighties in eagle scouts, which says a lot."
The young scouts got a kick out of the old photos and badges the former members brought.
"I really like the photo albums inside," said Quinn. " It tells a lot of memories that Troop 676 had and stuff."
He would like to see troop 676 continue the Boy Scout tradition forever.
"Hopefully we can have another 60 years of this troop and make it 100."
