Absentee ballot count in Montana goes over 250,000

More than a quarter of a million people in Montana returned absentee ballots this year.

As of this morning, the Secretary of State's office is reporting 257,591 absentee ballots returned to county election offices.

In Yellowstone County 49,770 people voted absentee. The state's most populous county had the most ballots returned followed by Missoula County with 31, 831, Gallatin County turned in 29,010.
