CODY, WY - A Montana man, accused of kidnapping and assaulting a Cody, Wyoming girl, is set to be arraigned in court next week.

Jesse Speer, 39, is currently behind bars in the Park County Detention Facility on a $2 million cash bond.

Speer was arrested in Belgrade nearly a week after the October 8 abduction and assault of the 11-year-old girl in Cody. He was stopped by authorities while driving his white Toyota 4-Runner in Belgrade on Oct. 13.

Surveillance cameras and witnesses led authorities to Speer who is a photographer in the Bozeman area and who most recently lived in Manhattan.

He was held in the Gallatin County Detention Center then transported back to Park County, Wyoming where he is charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault.

His arraignment is set for next Friday, December 21 at 1 p.m. in Park County District Court.
