They say if you want to win championships, you need to play well on the road. Well that's exactly what the Montana State University women's basketball team has been doing.

The team has had wins over Southern Utah and Montana last week, both on the road. A big reason for the success is Latisha Adams.

"You know, I've challenged her in regards to my theory that when she scores in double digits we have success. And so far that theory has been factual and you know she's just playing really well right now," MSU Head Coach Tricia Binford said.

Adams is averaging over 14 point in those two games, including a cool 10 for 10 from the line.

Of course, it's always motivation playing your rival school.

"We always joke around about being called the road warriors. I don't know what it is. I mean, we just seem to play tougher and smarter on the road. I do like playing on the road. Not school wise, you miss a lot of school, but I like going into someone else's home team and then shutting the crowd down," Adams said.

The team has a 7-1 record on the road, including a big win over Montana.

Adams has been named the Big Sky Conference co-player of the week.
