For several days, MTN's Great Falls station has received reports of two men attempting to kidnap children in Glacier County.
Earlier on Friday, the Phillips County Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook page: "There have been several reports of two males attempting to abduct kids in the Cut Bank and East Glacier Park areas."
The post goes on to describe the two men and details the attempted kidnappings.
Friday afternoon, Blaine County Undersheriff said his office has investigated several similar complaints; his deputies found no credible evidence of any attempted or actual abductions.
MTN's calls to the Glacier County Sheriff's Office have so far gone unanswered.
We will update you when we have new information.
Meanwhile here is the full text of the post on the Phillips County Sheriff's Office Facebook page:
This is for information only. These individuals HAVE NOT been seen in our area but the Sheriff's Office felt it was important enough to pass this information along:
Over the last week there have been several reports of two males attempting to abduct kids in the Cut Bank and East Glacier Park areas. The two men are described as white males, 20's - 30's, tall, blond hair and having Russian accents. One of the males has a ‘mullet' style haircut. They are driving a Royal Blue Subaru Outback with gray trim on the bottom. The Subaru may be a 2004 model and has a 46 county license plate.
On September 9, 2013, the suspects attempted to abduct a little girl in East Glacier Park but the girl was able to get away. The same day, the suspects were observed in the area of the East Glacier Park School taking pictures of the kids.
Last week, the suspects contacted a woman at her house in Cut Bank and attempted to have her bring her children outside to them. They were also observed around the school in Cut Bank during this time.
If you see any suspicious vehicles parked near or around the schools in Phillips County please call the Sheriff's Office at 654-2350.
