Yellowstone County officials are now in the process of planning the return of a Billings teen suspected of killing his great grandmother before fleeing to Denver, Colorado, in July.
19-year-old Robert Thompson has been served with a governor's warrant for his extradition.
He faces one charge of deliberate homicide for the death of his 77-year-old great grandmother Shirley Lawrence.
Her body was discovered in her south side home on Friday, July 19th.
Thompson told investigators he got angry and hit Lawrence in the back of the head and then stabbed her in the chest after she said, "He was going to be just like his father."
Thompson allegedly removed several items from her home and fled to Colorado in her car.
Thompson has been in Denver ever since, in custody of law enforcement and fighting his extradition.
Yellowstone County attorneys said he should be back in Montana by early next week.
