An update on a story we first told you about more than a month ago about a Belgrade couple expecting a baby with a rare heart defect.
Yesterday Poppy Dahl was born in a Seattle Hospital. Her parents Christie and Brad have been in Seattle for about a month awaiting her arrival. After Poppy was born she was taken to Seattle Children's Hospital where she's being monitored. Without surgery Doctors say she will not survive.
We spoke with Brad Saturday afternoon. "She's cute, she's a doll, that's what we've heard a lot she is literally a doll... they're monitoring her and checking her stats and we're just kind of waiting to see what happens" said Brad Dahl.
Poppy will undergo surgery Sometime next week. For the latest on Poppy's journey Click here.
