BOZEMAN - A Belgrade woman is in custody, accused of burglarizing a residence then leading police on a chase that ended with her being Tasered.

Beronica Segoviano Salas, 32, is charged with burglary.

On Wednesday, police responded to a burglary in the Wagon Wheel Trailer Court in Bozeman. A witness reported seeing a white Chrysler leaving the residence, filled with property from inside the home. Officers saw the vehicle a few blocks away and tried to stop it, but the driver refused to stop, triggering a chase that was assisted by the Gallatin County sheriff's deputies and Montana Highway Patrol troopers, according to court documents.

The vehicle was eventually stopped on Thorpe Road west of Belgrade after a tire deflating device was used to disable the vehicle, a news release states. Salas was Tasered after not complying with troopers' commands and was taken into custody.

Troopers opened the door to release a dog that was inside and reportedly saw a flat screen television, a box for an XBOX 360, a laptop computer and other items with wires still attached. The property matched the items that were reported as being stolen from the residence earlier.

Salas was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital where she reportedly told officers several times that she was drunk and needed to go to jail, court papers state. Salas also reportedly smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. She also reportedly admitted to being inside a residence in the trailer court near Albertson's.

She was taken to the Gallatin County Detention Center and is being held on no bond.
