HELENA - After a year of representing Shodair, Samantha Faulkner ends her reign as Montana's Champion Child. Now, it's Billings' Landen Phillips' turn to represent Montana's only Children's Miracle Network hospital.
This morning, Landen and his family were honored by Gov. Steve Bullock and Montana lawmakers.
Five-year-old Landen has a rare genetic condition experienced by less than a 100 people worldwide.
"Just the fact that my son is the face for Shodair Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network and all the wonderful things they are allowing us to do it is amazing," Landen's mother, Megan Morales, said.
Landen will represent Shodair for an entire year.
One of his first big events is the Shodair Telethon coming up on June 1.
