BILLINGS - William Grussing has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after receiving his 14th DUI.

Of those DUI's, five are felonies.

Grussing, 55-years old, appeared in Yellowstone County District Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Judge Susan Watters declared that Grussing won't be eligible for parole until he completes an intensive alcohol treatment program.

Watters said this is her first time sentencing someone with this many DUI's.

Grussing received his first DUI in 1982 when he was 25 years old. Grussing told the court that he had his first drink of alcohol with his dad when he was 14 years old.

Grussing said he hopes his life can serve as a lesson to others and wishes to speak to the public about the negative effects of alcoholism.

After Grussing is granted parole, he will be under continued supervision.
