Yesterday, we showed you raw video of a black bear that dropped in on an interview with a hiker that had reportedly seen the bear.
Here's the complete story:
For the past several weeks, hikers have reported seeing a bear on or near the "M" trail, north of Bozeman.
"I did see the bear," said Brad Lincoln, a hiker.
Just as Lincoln made that statement, he pointed out the bear to Judy Slate, MTN reporter.
"OK, so I was a little excited to actually see the bear," said Slate who captured footage of the bear walking around the parking lot, eating berries.
Fish Wildlife & Parks has heard about the bear, but at this point they aren't concerned.
"The ‘M' is still considered the forest, so they're allowed to be there," said Andrea Jones, MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks.
Some people report seeing more than one bear, although most have seen a small to medium bear like the one seen in the video.
"Typically this time of year bears are going to be trying to get as much food as possible," said Jones. "Storing up for the winter."
Hikers are warned to be on alert for bears.
