Blackfoot CEO: Acquisitions a good deal

MISSOULA - With Blackfoot Telecommunications Group Network entering into an agreement to acquire two companies, CEO Bill Squires says that's very good news for everyone involved.

"Our acquisition over the past month actually increases the size of our company by about 25% so it's a pretty significant growth for us all at once, but we've got an awesome team here of over 140 employees now and their very much up to the task."

Some 6,000 new residential customers will come on board with the addition of the Fremont Telecom Company and Fretel Communications under the Blackfoot banner.

The companies were collectively known as Fairpoint Idaho, which provided data and voice for thousands of local homes and businesses.
