LINCOLN COUNTY - A man was found bloodied and intoxicated by the side of Highway 2 between Libby and Troy just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Lincoln County Undersheriff Brent Faulkner said a passing driver called 911 after finding the 27-year-old man lying in the shoulder of the highway, bleeding from his head.
Deputies, highway patrol troopers and the Libby Volunteer Ambulance responded and found the man semi-conscious.
Faulkner says the man had been in a fight somewhere, and was left on the side of the road.
The man was treated and released from the hospital.
Faulkner says they are still investigating the incident.
