South of the Feeley exit on I-15 south of Butte, high winds and blowing snow are restricting visibility making travel difficult. The road is snow covered and icy in spots. When KXLF-TV was on the road about 10:30 a.m. traffic was moving at about 40 mph. Semi trucks were moving more slowly.
North of Feeley the visibility is much better, the road has slushy spots which turn into wet roadways near I-90. I-90 from I-15 to Continental Drive is wet but not yet snow or slush covered.
The Montana Highway Patrol reported a jackknifed semi on I-15 north of Butte at mile marker 132 at 10:35 a.m. Thursday.
The Montana Department of Transportation reports snow and slush on I-90 east of Butte over Homestake Pass and snowing with snow on the road for Interstate-15 for 30 miles north of Butte.
