The Montana State Crime lab has confirmed that a body pulled from the Clark Fork River earlier this month is that of Anaconda woman Tammy Salle who was missing since late December.
Anaconda Police Detective Ken Walund tells us he received a report from the crime lab this week that positively identifies Salle based on matching tattoos.
Investigators say a cause of death in the case has been determined, but they have declined to release that information at this time.
Salle's driver's license was found 500 feet upstream from her body near Galen the day after her body was found.
Anaconda Police Chief Tim Barkell says her body has been turned over to the family.
