Body found in Billings creek

BILLINGS- A body was found floating in Alkali Creek in the Billings Heights on Saturday evening.

Shortly after 5 p.m., local law enforcement responded to the creek near Fas Break Auto on Main Street.

Law enforcement confirmed that a body is floating in the creek and efforts are underway to investigate the death and remove the body.

Yellowstone County Sheriff's deputies are currently questioning people who notified authorities at the creek.

The Billings Police Department and Yellowstone County Sheriff's deputies have also taped off a walking trail near the creek.
