Around 4 p.m. Saturday, Fishermen discovered a female body in the Clark Fork River near Galen in Anaconda-Deer Lodge County.

Anaconda Police Chief, Tim Barkell, says the body was decomposed and tattoos matched those of Tammy Salle's.

The body will be brought to the Missoula Crime lab for DNA testing Monday. Barkell says he is unsure how long the testing will take.

Salle, 41, has been missing from her Anaconda home since December 23rd. Officials and community members have since scoured the surrounding area for any sign of her.

Salle's boyfriend, 38-year-old John Goldberg, was found dead due to self-inflicted wounds near Missoula on December 31st.
