UPDATE: More details have emerged about the discovery of the body of a missing Butte man.
An Anaconda resident discovered Jim Romenesko's van abandoned on Highway 43 around 4:30 p.m. Monday, according to authorities. Romenesko's body was found not far from the van near the Big Hole River.
Authorities say the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Coroner Gerry Thomas has confirmed that the body of a missing Butte man has been found.
The body of Jim Romenesko, 66, was found near the Big Hole River along Highway 43, Thomas said.
Romenesko was missing since Saturday afternoon.
A Facebook page was set up dedicated to "finding Jim."
