Bozeman ranks high in yet another rating of the best places to live. This time Bozeman rates as the 22nd most livable city in the United States as selected by Livability.com. What stands out in the rankings is that Bozeman is significantly smaller than the other cities in the top 25 on the list. White Plains New York with 57,453 people is the next smallest at 23rd. Bozeman's population is listed at 37,274.
The online site praised Bozeman as an outdoor lover's paradise and had previously ranked the community as one of the top ten winter cities. The site also scores the community high for education, health care, outdoor recreation a dynamic downtown and a booming technology sector.
Livability says the list is the result of months of research with the Martin Prosperity Institute. Cities were ranked in eight categories, economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education and healthcare. Bozeman ranked especially high for healthcare, social and civic capital, and education. Economics, infrastructure and amenities were also above average. Data for the rankings was collected from the public and private sectors and non profit groups.
