ARE, SWEDEN - Bozeman native Heather McPhie placed first in the FIS World Cup mogul competition in Sweden.

This is her third first place finish of the season in the FIS World Cup Mogul competition, according to the US Ski Team website.

"I worked with my coaches and had a really great plan coming into today. My training didn't go really well but I kept improving round by round and was able to keep my skiing consistent while improving my air and my jumps. I was just focusing on my skiing and trusting what I know I can do out there. The course is really challenging and there is not a better feeling than walking away from the last single moguls event of the season with a win. And do be up there with Eliza makes it that much more fun," McPhie is quoted saying on the website.

KBZK spoke with McPhie's mother, Kristie, today who said she is extremely proud of her daughter.
