There was some question earlier this year as to whether the Salvation Army in Bozeman would be able to deliver meals to those unable to have them on Thanksgiving, a tradition they have done for years.
According to Salvation Army Lieutenant Niki Woollin, "the agency we partnered with last year didn't have the resources to do it again...so we'll do it this year ourselves." That said they will be absorbing the costs of the meals themselves, serving everyone from law enforcement officers to detention center inmates.
The Salvation Army needs among other items, turkey breasts, mashed potatoes, gravy mix, and cranberry sauce to fill their holiday orders, and will take donations up until Thursday morning. To find out how you can help, contact the Salvation Army at (406) 586-5813.
