The suspect in an early morning Bozeman shooting is formally charged in court today.
Cody Little, 25, of Bozeman, is charged with 2 counts of attempted deliberate homicide and one count of assault with a weapon. All three charges are felonies.
At a press conference this afternoon, Police Chief Ron Price said Little used a 20-gauge shotgun and shot 3 men all in their 20's after an argument at party. One victim was hit in the abdomen and the other two were hit in the legs.
According to court documents, Little attempted to fire a fourth shot- he aimed his rifle at the face of one of the men and pulled the trigger but there were no shells left in the weapon.
Little later told police that he remembers firing rounds into the air but has no recollection of hitting people.
The victim who was shot in the abdomen has been transferred to another hospital and is listed in critical condition. A second victim, shot in the leg, was transported to Billings early this morning. The condition of the 3rd victim is unknown.
Little, a veteran who served in Afghanistan, is currently being held at the Gallatin County Detention Center with bail set at $1,250,000.
