Eight Brazilian high-schoolers have spent the last several days as cultural ambassadors to the U.S., even taking part in the National Day of Service Saturday, helping out at the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter in Bozeman.
The ambassador program, organized by the U.S. Department of State, allows for them to experience culture here, and take that understanding back with them. The students say they are impressed by the caliber of people they've met here so far.
"Montana has one of the most kind people I've ever met, seriously, and that is true." Says Yasmin Gomes, "It's a group of people is always trying to help each other, are always like caring about each other and about the city and about everything"
