HELENA - Gov. Elect Steve Bullock's campaign was cited Friday for not depositing a campaign check on time, announced the Office of the Commissioner of Political Practices.

Bozeman resident Don Hart filed the original complaint on Sept. 24 alleging Bullock's campaign did not deposit 28 political action committee checks within five business days as required by law.

However, investigation revealed 14 PACs were involved and of 20 checks in question, only one was late.

The decision states:

"Of the 20 contributions referenced in the complaint, investigation indicated that 19 were deposited within five days."

One check, $600 from the DISH Network PAC, was recieved May 12, 2011 but not deposited until May 31, 2011.

Democrat Steve Bullock defeated Republican challenger Rick Hill earlier this month, and will take office in January.
