Representatives with Resodyn Acoustic Mixers say they are negotiating with a company in Japan to sell their products overseas.
Last week representatives traveled to a pharmaceutical trade show to launch their product in Tokyo.
They met with several companies interested in the firm's high-energy, high-efficiency, non-contact mixing technology.
One company at the trade show brought in their own samples to see how the technology worked.
Traditionally the company spends four hours mixing their product.
Resodyn mixes the materials in less than 10 minutes.
Representatives say there is potential for the Resodyn market to grow, but they will continue to manufacture in Butte.
"The companies in Japan that we met with expressed that there is a high interest in our technology over there so we feel that is going to have very good sales in the next few years," said Peter Lucon, Resodyn Director of Technology and Processing.
This business venture could create more jobs at Resodyn incorporation. No estimate how many positions will be created at this time.
