BUTTE-Butte is known for it's culture and heritage, and the Butte Historical Society is facilitating a community forum to keep that heritage alive.
Butte Historic Society member Ed Banderob tells us that semi organized gatherings may be held in fire halls around town.
He says volunteer fire halls were the main social gathering location in different neighborhoods years ago.
The plan is for people interested in Butte heritage culture gather for meetings in those fire halls and exchange ideas.
Invitations are being made and will be mailed out, then announcements will be made for anyone interested in the forum.
"I think we need to have a force working towards harmony in our community, a gathering together of the community spirit that is and was and always will be the Butte spirit," says Banderob.
The Heritage Community Forum is expected to begin next month.
