BUTTE-Butte Silver Bow Law Enforcement has a better description of a shooting suspect that reportedly shot a Mining City Taxi employee several times.

Sheriff Ed Lester says, "This is uncommon in that the victim fleeing-the suspect fired at the victim. That's pretty uncommon behavior and it just goes to show that this person is probably desperate and obviously very dangerous to have loose in the community."

The shooting occurred around 7:20 Thursday night at the Mining City Taxi business, located at 227 Front Street.

A 23 year old female employee was alone at the time when the suspect entered the building, demanding money.
The female led the suspect through the building, then began to flee outside.

She was headed west on Front Street when she was shot 4 times by the suspect.

Sheriff Lester says the firearm used in the incident appears to by a revolver with a 4 inche barrel.

There were no shell casings found at the scene.

She is in stable condition at St. James Healthcare.

The suspect is believed to be a medium build male.
He could be around 5'3" to 5'4" inches tall.
He was wearing a camouflage zip up sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark or black shoes.
Sheriff Lester adds, "The real distinctive part of this is he was wearing a green hard hat or miners type hat helmet and a hunter orange cover on his face."

Lester and his investigators continue to canvass the area but ultimately anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact law enforcement.

Lester adds, "Anybody who would've seen anybody wearing any of that would be fairly distinctive so we're hoping that someone saw them either before or after this incident and then call us with a location of where they might of seen them or anything else that might involve this individual."
