Car pulled from Missouri River in Great Falls

GREAT FALLS - Police are trying to piece together a potential crime after a car was found in the Missouri River on Thursday afternoon.

The car was pulled out around 3 p.m.

A man spotted the sedan at the bottom of the river as he was launching his boat at Broadwater Bay.

The car, a blue 1994 Buick Century, matches the description of a car reported missing earlier this week, but the VIN numbers don't match up.

Police tell us the car has likely been in the river for at least five days.

They don't know who it belongs to, but it does have Cascade County license plates.
