MISSOULA - It was billed as the "Peoples Hearing," with speaker after speaker taking a stand against carbon emissions.
The event was held at the University of Montana Wednesday night, sponsored by the Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation, and other environmental groups.
While some argue there are already excellent protections from coal pollution, these speakers are in favor of an EPA proposal that puts tighter restrictions on future power plants.
The EPA also proposes infrastructure improvements for future power plants.
