After some morning snow today, skies have cleared to some chilly afternoon highs this afternoon. Chilly weather will stick around the next several days, including our New Year holiday. High temperatures will run slightly below average, through the middle of the week, with a slight warm up to near or above average by Friday. Overnight lows will also be quite chilly, especially in Butte where sub-zero lows are expected the next several days.
In terms of precipitation, we are looking dry after this morning's snow. Dry weather will stick around through the week, with a very minimal chance for any precipitation. So while we may be dry for the start of 2013, it will definitely not be a warm start to the new year.
