The cold weather caused some minor delays for skiers at big sky resort this weekend.

Director of public relations for the resort, Chad Jones, says that on extremely cold mornings, the resort could delay opening the lift chairs up the mountain.

Over the weekend, delays ran under an hour. Jones says it's strictly safety based, for both the resort's employees and those enjoying the fresh mountain powder. If you do plan on skiing on those cold days, plan for the possibility of minor delays before hitting those slopes at Big Sky.
