With the recent cold temperatures, those who make their living outside may have found work to be more of a challenge.

With overnight temperatures dropping below zero, and barely reaching double digits in the daytime, everyone from car wash employees to contractors to masons are struggling with keeping themselves and their equipment warm.

Whether it's stopping water from freezing on their face, or keeping the mortar between your bricks from freezing solid, many said working in the winter can be very unpleasant.

According to Brendan Hanson, Vice President of Marks & Hanson Masonry, "Everything you do is frozen, so it doesn't roll up, it's difficult to handle, when you start in the morning it's not very flexible or usable to any degree."
