BOZEMAN - Construction set to start on a busy overpass in Bozeman today.
The North 7th Avenue bridges will be replaced to improve traffic flow and to meet earthquake regulations.
The two existing bridges will be replaced with one new structure that will include four driving lanes, two left hand turn lanes on to the Interstate 90 westbound on-ramp. The new overpass will also be able to accommodate bike traffic and sidewalks will be handicap accessible.
While work is going on, I-90 traffic will be slowed at times, including crossovers and lane reductions.
A public meeting about the construction will take place Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. at the Bozeman GranTree hotel.
