BOZEMAN - While most parents cringe when they see their child cry on Santa's lap, the Greater Gallatin United way and the Gallatin Valley Mall use this moment to help raise money. The two organizations have teamed up for the second annual Santa's Criers Fundraiser.

"We're asking parents with their children on Santa's lap, if they are crying, can we capture that picture and let us post it up? So, once their posted, they're numbered we have these jars that coincide with the numbers and people can donate money to their favorite crier and all these funds go directly to the United Way," says Brenda Barringer, Marketing Director for the Gallatin Valley Mall.

The fundraiser gives shoppers the chance to donate in the jar that they believe is the best photo, with the money directly benefiting the Greater Gallatin United Way in Bozeman. The top four jars with the most money also receive gift cards for the Gallatin Valley Mall. The crying photos are located in the center of the mall right next to the food court.
