HELENA - A Helena coin shop was shortchanged and now Helena investigators are involved the case of the missing coins.
A package delivered to the Wayne Miller Coin shop on Tuesday arrived safely via UPS.
But once the package was opened, the coin dealer discovered that several gold coins that were supposed to be in the order were missing.
Helena Police Chief Troy McGee said, "They did deliver the package to Wayne Miller's Coin and he opened it up in front of
the UPS driver and noticed that 20 of the coins were missing. So they returned the package and UPS has been conducting an investigation and it does appear the coins are missing somewhere along the transit. They do have their own investigation arm that looks into it."
The value of the coins is estimated at $30,000.
