Dispute leads to Uptown Butte stabbing

BUTTE - A man was transported to St. James Hospital after a stabbing in Uptown Butte.

The stabbing happened during a dispute between two men on the corner of Mercury and Galena. Authorities do not know what caused the dispute.

The victim appeared to be in stable condition, according to authorities who say he was walking around and talking.

The suspect fled on foot but was soon apprehended.

This is the second stabbing incident during the month of October.
