A one-vehicle rollover crash sent a Birdseye woman to St. Peter's Hospital on Wednesday.
Around 2:45 p.m, an SUV traveling from Helena to Birdseye went into the north ditch near Echo Drive, rolled and crashed inside a barn.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper David Gleich said the woman was wearing her seatbelt and wasn't driving too fast, but she was most likely distracted.
Trooper Gleich said, "She probably looked down, tried to grab something off the seat, something to that effect. She went off the right-hand side of the road, hit a steep embankment, it vaulted her car for about 20 to 25 feet, came back down, continued to travel another 75 or 80 feet until it hit the building."
The woman had likely head and neck injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officials have not yet determined if she will be cited.
