BUTTE - Several electricians removed damaged traffic lights and city Christmas decorations at the corner of Main and Granite Streets following an accident Thursday afternoon.

The dump truck was traveling southbound on Main Street, according to the Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department. The driver passed through the Granite Street intersection and the dump bucket caught onto the light cables. The driver pulled away taking three traffic light poles and the Christmas decorations with it. The driver stopped after he was through the intersection.

Traffic was blocked at the intersection for more than two hours, according to authorities. There were no injuries and no other vehicles were involved.

The diver was cited for careless driving, according to Butte-Silver Bow Law Enforcement.
