BIG SKY - The Lone Peak High School girls' basketball team scored a big win last week. That's because it was the first win in for the school in its two-year existence.
"Confidence-wise right now, we're on a pretty good high and building going into the tournament. So wins will make everyone smile, I guess," head coach Adam Olson said.
A big reason for that win was Bianca Godoy and her team-leading nine points.
"Well, it felt really good, because they haven't won in a while, so you know, knowing I helped and our whole team accomplished something for the first time in school history. It felt good," Godoy said.
Sure those nine points may not sound like a big deal, but remember Bianca not only is probably the youngest player in Class C alone, she hasn't even reached high school yet. She's still in 8th grade.
"I don't like to take credit for anything, because it's really a team sport. So, without any of the other people working hard like the team, I wouldn't have been able to get there," she said.
