Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Silver Bow County until 9pm tonight.
National Weather Service office in Missoula issued a Flash Flood Watch for the city of Butte especially north of the interstate.
A large plume of subtropical moisture is moving up into Idaho and western Montana and as the temperatures climb this afternoon numerous thunderstorms are likely and significant rainfall is possible.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash floods. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Chief Meteorologist Mike Heard will monitor the situation and will update the forecast throughout the afternoon on KXLF.com, the KXLF facebook page and if conditions worsen we will cut into programming this afternoon and evening.
Track the storms with the KXLF and KBZK interactive radar: http://kxlf.com/interactive-weather-map/
