KALISPELL - A Flathead Valley wedding planner, with an unexpected opening during the busy summer wedding season, decided to use her services for something she's never done before.
A Montana wounded warrior and his soon-to-be wife will get to have the wedding they've always dreamed of - nearly free of charge. It's all thanks to wedding planner Tanya Gersh, along with several anonymous donors and Flathead vendors.
Gersh has never met the couple before, but says planning their wedding is one of the most touching things she's ever had a chance to be a part of.
"This really is a dream come true. We got to make a phone call and say, 'can I just give you a dream wedding?' And it was a dream wedding that they couldn't afford, but that they've always wanted. It's like being a fairy godmother!"
The wedding will take place later this month
